Clinical Research Leadership

Ann Mooney, MSN, RN, CNN
Ann Mooney is the Vice President of Clinical Research, bringing more than 25 years of nephrology clinical research experience and more than 40 years as a nephrology clinical nurse. She holds an MSN in Adult Health from the MGH Institute of Health Professionals, a BSN from Regis College (Summa Cum Laude), and a diploma in Nursing from Mount Auburn Hospital. Ann has had founding roles in the establishment and growth of research programs at Frenova Renal Research, a subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care, and at American Renal Associates.

Katie DiTomaso, MBA
Experienced in all phases of clinical trial management, Katie began her career as a clinical trial assistant and has held subsequent roles as a project financial manager, clinical project manager and director of research operations. As Panoramic Health’s Director of Clinical Research, Katie is responsible for overall project management including study start up, contracting, budgeting, and financial oversight. Katie brings over 8 years of project management experience, working directly with research sites, sponsors, and CROs in the nephrology space. Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bentley University and a Master’s in Business Administration from SNHU.

Navdeep Tangri, MD, PhD
Dr. Tangri is a Senior Advisor for Panoramic Science. As an award-winning nephrologist, professor, and scientist, Dr. Tangri's efforts in understanding chronic kidney disease (CKD) led to the development of the Kidney Failure Risk Equation (KFRE), used worldwide to predict the need for dialysis in patients with CKD. He is currently an attending physician and Professor in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine and the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. By leveraging his expertise and insights, Panoramic Health is poised to accelerate the development of novel therapies and deliver impactful solutions to patients with kidney disease.

Comprised of international renowned leaders in nephrology and clinical research, the Panoramic Health Scientific Advisory Board plays a crucial role in guiding our clinical research efforts and supporting the development of innovative approaches to transforming the landscape of kidney care.

External Board Members:

Glenn Chertow, MD, MPH, Norman S. Coplon Satellite Healthcare Professor of Medicine and (by courtesy) Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health and Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University School of Medicine
Dr. Chertow has served in leadership roles for multiple NIDDK-, NHLBI-, VA- and industry-sponsored clinical trials. He has served in an advisory capacity to the Medicare Payment Advisory Committee, on NIH study sections, and in multiple leadership roles with the American Society of Nephrology (ASN).  Dr. Chertow was honored by the American Kidney Fund with the National Torchbearer Award, the Belding H. Scribner Award from ASN and the David M. Hume Memorial Award from National Kidney Foundation.  He is an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, Association of American Physicians, and National Academy of Medicine.

Chirag Parikh, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Dr. Parikh is a leading expert in kidney disease research, with several NIH grants and over 400 published articles that have been cited over 48,000 times in literature. At Johns Hopkins, Dr. Parikh directs the Precision Medicine Center of Excellence for Kidney Diseases, leading transformative changes in clinical care and research studies. His research focuses on the translation and validation of novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of acute kidney injury. Dr. Parikh was honored with the Young Investigator Award from the ASN and the Jeff Gray Memorial Award from the CRRT consortium. He is an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians.

Prabir Roy-Chaudhury, MD, Drs Ronald and Katherine Falk Eminent Professor and Co-Director of the University of North Carolina (UNC) Kidney Center
Dr. Roy-Chaudhury currently leads a translational research program in uremic vascular biology funded through the National Institutes of Health, the Veterans Administration research program, and through industry grants. With over 200 papers published, he is a sought-after speaker and a leading figure in the public policy and administrative aspects of dialysis vascular access care and hemodialysis. He is also the President-Elect of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and was the founding co-chair of the ASN Kidney Health Initiative, a public-private partnership between the ASN and the FDA.
