Dr. Renuka Sothinathan is a practicing nephrologist and serves as Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Staff at Virginia Hospital Center, where she provides clinical and operational leadership in the delivery of evidence-based kidney care. She has conducted extensive research in IgA nephropathy, anemia in chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and kidney disease progression, with publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. Her clinical and research interests include glomerulonephritis, hypertension, kidney disease in pregnancy, nephrolithiasis, and general nephrology, closely aligning with current and emerging therapeutic development in the cardiorenal space and supporting effective translation of clinical research into real-world practice.
